Mavka: The Forest Song (Ukrainian: Мавка. Лісова пісня, romanised: Mavka. Lisova pisnia) is a Ukrainian 3D-animated fantasy film. It was created in 2023 by the Animagrad film studio (which is a part of The Film.UA Group). Based on Lesya Ukrainka’s play, The Forest Song, it portrays characters from Slavic and Ukrainian folk mythology. Oleksandra Ruban and Oleh Malamuzh directed the film.
Synopsis: Mavka, a Soul of the Forest, faces an impossible choice between love and her duty as Guardian of the Heart of the Forest when she falls for a human, a talented young musician named Lukas.
