Stree (transl. Woman) is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language comedy horror film directed by debutant Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj & DK. It stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, alongside Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee.
The plot is based on the urban legend Naale Baa, which means “come tomorrow” in Kannada, modified as “o stree kal aana” (oh woman come tomorrow) in the film.
Set in the town of Chanderi, Stree is based on the urban legend of Nale Ba that went viral in Karnataka in the 1990s and features Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in pivotal roles.
