Pushpa: The Rise is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language action drama directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media. The film stars Allu Arjun in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil (in his Telugu debut), Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Dhananjaya, Sunil and Ajay Ghosh. It is the first instalment in the Pushpa film series and follows the titular daily wage-earner who rises in a syndicate that smuggles red sandalwood. This rare wood grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh.
Synopsis: Pushpa Raj is a coolie who rises in the world of red sandalwood smuggling. Along the way, he doesn’t shy from making an enemy or two.
