Fast Five (also known as Fast & Furious 5) is a 2011 action film directed by Justin Lin and written by Chris Morgan. It is the sequel to Fast & Furious (2009) and the fifth instalment in the Fast & Furious franchise. The film stars Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto and Paul Walker as Brian O’Conner, alongside Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Matt Schulze, Sung Kang and Dwayne Johnson.
In the film, Dom and Brian, along with Dom’s sister Mia, plan a heist to steal $100 million from corrupt businessman Hernan Reyes while being pursued for arrest by U.S. Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent Luke Hobbs.
Synopsis: Former cop Brian O’Conner partners with ex-con Dom Toretto on the opposite side of the law. Since Brian and Mia Toretto broke Dom out of custody, they’ve blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom.
