The story was previously adapted into the Mythos Comics graphic novels by Schut, Marc Olivent, and Renzo Podesta. It is a co-production of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Balboa Productions.
However, the film stars Sylvester Stallone in the main role, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Pilou Asbæk, Dascha Polanco, and Moisés Arias, and it follows a kid who suspects that his neighbor is secretly a superhero who was believed to have died many years prior.
Synopsis: Thirteen-year-old Sam Cleary suspects that his mysteriously reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith is the legendary vigilante Samaritan, who was reported dead 20 years ago. With crime on the rise and the city on the brink of chaos, Sam makes it his mission to coax his neighbor out of hiding to save the city from ruin.
